Don McNeal Don McNeal

Don played college football at the University of Alabama under Coach Bear Bryant and 10 years of professional football in the NFL with Don Shula’s Miami Dolphins.

During his Junior season at Alabama, he helped lead the team to an 11-1 record and won the national championship. He was named “Captain of the Team” his Senior year and led the team to a 12-0 season and a 2nd consecutive national championship. While at Alabama , Don was recognized with All-American Honors and All-American Strength Team.

The Miami Dolphins drafted Don in 1980 as a Defensive Back. Don had a highly successful career with Miami, playing in two Super Bowls in 1982 and 1984. In 1996, Don was named to the Dolphins’ 25th Anniversary “Silver Anniversary Team”.

Don’s community involvement is extensive; active in a number of associations assisting youth and adults. He serves as a drug-rehabilitation counselor, a teacher/coach, board member, and is a frequent public speaker for several causes.
