I was raised by a great mom and dad. Growing up the middle child out of seven kids (six boys and one girl), I was the brother who played by all the rules. I was the first son to go off to college on a football scholarship. Upon graduating from college, I was drafted by the L.A. Rams and played eight years in the NFL. Alcohol, sex, money, and fame blinded me from what I know to be right. Suddenly, the rules that I abided by as a kid became remote to me. I was fulfilled by many bad influences of life, giving me no peace and tranquility. A near-death experience opened my eyes to the realities of life. At that point, I committed my life to God and began to read and apply His Word to my life. Today, I am a family man who no longer plays by just any rules; I play by God’s rules.
